Dr. Andrew D. Skelley
Dr. Andrew Skelley was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois and is a 1994 graduate of The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He spent his first three years after graduation working at a small animal clinic in central Illinois and then a large practice in downtown Knoxville. In June 1997 he purchased Emory Animal Hospital, where he enjoys practicing medicine and the surgery of dogs and cats, as well as exotic pets such as rabbits, ferrets, reptiles and birds.
In his spare time Dr. Skelley enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities, and is involved in the design and creation of FrightWorks, an annual haunted house in Powell.
Media Relations Director and Veterinary Technician
Alicia came to Tennessee from Florida in 2012. She holds 12 years experience in the animal care field, including emergency medicine, shelter work, and private veterinary practices. Alicia graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor’s in Communications. She utilizes her experience to create and maintain Emory Animal Hospital’s professional image. Alicia returned to college in 2012 to study pre-veterinary medicine. Her furry family includes a Japanese chin named Yoshi, and 4 adopted cats – Kato, Chino, Shirley, and Coda. Alicia enjoys exploring beautiful Tennessee, attending concerts, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering at Knoxville Zoo.
Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician
Emilie graduated from Lincoln Memorial University with her Bachelor’s in Veterinary Medical Technology. She is a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT). Her furry family includes two rabbits – Paula and Fergie, two cats – Stella and Brando, and two Great Pyrenees mixes – Grant and Chevelle. Emilie loves working at Emory Animal Hospital and meeting all the wonderful pets. Emilie enjoys watching movies, shopping, and playing games with her family in her spare time. She also enjoys fishing with her husband.
Chief Patient Care Coordinator
Kim has lived in the Knoxville area all her life, is married, and the mother of 4 boys. She has over 15 years experience in the veterinary medicine field, and she is usually the first person you speak with when calling Emory Animal Hospital. Kim has a vast knowledge of the medical conditions that can affect our companions and will be glad to answer any questions you might ask. Kim has an Australian Shepherd named Cowgirl, and a cat named Skeeter. In her spare time she enjoys working in her yard and spending time with her 6 grandchildren.
Professional Pet Groomer
Ashley lives in Lenoir City, and holds over 10 years of grooming experience. Ashley is married, and mother to a young son and daughter. She is also a mother to Cash, her boxer puppy, along with 3 lovable cats. Ashley enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with her family and pets.
Finance Director and Patient Care Coordinator
If you don’t see Kim when you enter our hospital, then you will probably see Pam. She is our part-time patient care coordinator, and more importantly, she makes our hospital finances run smoothly, so we can focus on better serving our patients. Pam is originally from the Halls/Powell area, and holds 18 years of experience in business accounting. Pam is married and a mother to 3 teenagers. Pam maintains the largest furry family on our staff, with 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 rabbits, 2 chickens, and a rooster. Most of Pam’s pets are rescues, and her passions include shelter adoption, pet rescue work, and rabbits.
